Mechanical Machine Repair

We have been repairing our own machinery along with the machinery of vendors and customers for some time now. This has lead us to offer a Mechanical repair service covering:

• Break down/ Strip down services.

• manufacture of new replacement componants.

• repair / remachining of worn componants (all completed in house at cost).

• rebuild and refirb work.

• on site welding (Tig/mig).

Although we focus mainly on mechanical repair of machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, cylindrical grinders radial arm drills etc, please feel free to get in touch and discuss any issues you may be having.

Here are some examples of our repair work:

Here we have a polish lathe that had a failed drive collar/dog that tranfered the power of the motor to the gearbox.

the part was very difficult to track down due to the age and nature of the machine so after stripping down and finding the problem we manufactured a new collar out of some high carbon steel that we then hardened and re-fit to the machine, getting back up and running by the next day.

Here we have a repair made to an old lathe feed shaft coller where the key had worn away.

We stripped the machine down and machined out the old key, made and fit a new one and rebuilt the machine whilst also giving the whole gearbox a clean and oil.

this job was completed two days from the initial breakdown!
